Fillet Knives

Fillet Knives are specially designed to use in the filleting of fish. They also make great kitchen knives. Our fillet knife handles are made of Webbwood or Frogwood. The beautiful finish is the result of extensive hand sanding and buffing—there is no varnish!  Our handles are BOTH beautiful and durable!

Birch is dyed then put through extreme heat and pressure treatment with epoxy to make a laminated wood that is compressed to half its original thickness and is three times harder than the natural wood.  Rod crafts each knife handle one at a time so that it fits nicely in your hand. Since there is no varnish, any future scratches can be sanded out and buffed to look new again.

Care: It is always best to hand wash your good knives, not allowing them to soak in water.

If you would like your knife to have custom features, please feel free to place a special order.

**Note (April 2022) – Our production costs (materials alone) have gone up 35% in the last 2 years and we have not raised our prices for several years. As a result, we must raise prices and are doing so at 15%. Thank you for understanding.
